Car Crashes Into Second Story of Pennsylvania Home

When you hear of car crashes that happen when someone drives into a house, they usually stick to the first floor. That wasn’t the case in this instance when a car flew into the second story of a home in Pennsylvania, causing a significant amount of damage.

According to the Junction Fire Company, the department was called to Decatur Township, Pennsylvania, regarding a “vehicle accident” on August 6, 2023. When crews arrived at the scene minutes later, they discovered that a vehicle had crashed into the floor of a residence with the driver out of the vehicle.

The Junction Fire Company posted on Facebook about the incident, the caption read: “Chief 17 arrived on scene within minutes to find one vehicle into the second floor with the patient out of the vehicle.”

The fire department remained at the scene for around three hours to stabilize the vehicle. They also helped the homeowners put a tarp over the top of the home due to upcoming severe storms headed toward the area.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to Geising Lewistown Hospital by EMS crew. Junction Fire did not disclose how the car managed to leave the roadway and crash into the second story of the home but they did mention that there was a culvert beside the house.

The exact estimated damages of the crash remain unclear at this time.
