Arizona Man Arrested For Undressing and Disturbing Golfers

Golf balls weren’t the only attraction in this WM Phoenix Open golf course as a man drew attention to a different kind of ball from the lining of his underwear.

Scottsdale police have locked up Sean Patrick McConnell, a 27-year-old man, for stripping down and putting on a spectacle for the puzzled audience. He is “accused of trespassing, disorderly conduct, and failure to obey a lawful order from law enforcement.”

The list of offences gave viewers more bang for their buck with the extra entertainment. He was caught streaking onto the course after jumping from the general admissions bleachers at the WM Phoenix Open’s 16th hole. After reaching the 16th hole, he bolted through a player access tunnel to the 17th hole.

Cameras captured McConnell running half-naked on the turf with the words “19TH HOLE” boldly written on his back. He was the unexpected surprise representing the nineteenth hole.

Based on the police statement: “McConnell continued his disruption of the tournament by jumping into the water and swimming to the middle of the water hazard. McConnell ignored commands by officers to immediately exit the water. He eventually complied and swam to the 18th hole where he was placed under arrest.”

Never a dull moment on this golf course. Attendees walked away having witnessed a one-of-a-kind sporting event.
