While claw machines can be entertaining ways to spend some money, they’re not always fun and games. According to a North Carolina amusement park, a 13-year-old boy had to be freed from a claw machine after he climbed inside hoping to get a prize.
It was reported around 2 p.m. on April 16, 2023, that a boy was stuck inside the Cosmic XL Bonus Game at Carowinds a spokesperson for the park south of Charlotte, Courtney C. McGarry Weber, said. Fortunately, the game contained plush prizes, making it a bit more of a comfortable experience while he waited for assistance.
Weber also confirmed that the medical response team was able to unlock the machine and the boy was able to get out. He was treated by the team and released from first aid to his guardian.
While the boy was able to get out of the machine, he will definitely have learned his lesson after this incident. The teen has been banned from the park for one year for attempted theft.
