Animals can get into all sorts of trouble and end up in sticky situations. Animal rescuers in Boston were able to help a kitten found wandering the streets with a glass jar stuck over her head.
The Animal Rescue League of Boston said that Fall River Animal Control were the ones that passed along the report of the kitten that was seen wandering in the Danforth Street area. The animal seemed to have some type of round glass object stuck on its head but didn’t seem to be in too much distress given the situation.
Field agents arrived to find the female kitten wandering around a roadway with the glass object still intact. The rescuers caught the cat and were able to remove the glass object. To receive further treatment, the kitten was taken to ARL’s Dedham Animal Care and Adoption Center.
The kitten, dubbed Buzz Lightyear after the space toy from the Toy Story franchise, is in good health at the shelter and is being socialized to make her more comfortable around humans.
