Evading the authorities can be a tricky thing to do but not for one cow. An animal rescue organization has been trying to locate the 750-pound animal for more than three weeks.
The Strong Island Animal Rescue League from Long Island, New York, said the cow escaped from Jerry’s Farms on Wading River Road in Manorville all the way back on August 27, 2022. Since then, the cow has been on the loose but has been seen on numerous occasions by members of the public.
The organization shared a video on Facebook of the cow, dubbed Vienna, that shows the animal taking in a game of golf at Pine Hill Golf and Country Club in Manorville on September 16. As of this posting, that was the most recent Vienna sighting that the group knows about.
“We hope we can locate where she is. We’re asking everyone to please stay back, let the professionals do what they have got to do,” Frankie Floridia of the Strong Island Animal Rescue League said.
Rescuers said a new home is being prepared for the cow at the Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue in New Jersey in order to give Vienna the best life possible.
