Doggie daycare is a great way to have your canine meet some new friends but when a pup gets too excited, accidents may occur. One pooch was a bit too excited to see her friends that she accidentally pulled the fire alarm.
Dogwoods Lodge in Grimes, Iowa, is a doggie day camp where a pup named Birdie is a canine camper. Birdie had trouble containing her excitement when she arrived for day camp one day. The dog jumped on a wall, pulling the fire alarm on the way down.
“She just arrived for day camp and was just bouncing around and bounced into the fire alarm, pushed it in, pulled it down and that was it,” Dogwoods Lodge owner Jessica Tapper said.
The Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire Department responded to the call and when they arrived, the crew was informed it happened to be pulled by Birdie.
Dogwoods Lodge posted a photo on Facebook showing the pup wearing a sign reading: “Dear Grimes Fire Department, I’m sorry that I pulled the fire alarm today. Sincerely, Birdie.” The fire department responded to the post saying that Birdie was forgiven.
