Pet owners can fill their house with chew toys, but their dogs will still be intrigued by the items that are not for them. Officials at the Oregon Lottery were surprised when they received a letter with a ripped-up lottery ticket and a photo of two dogs. The kibble did not satisfy the appetite and these dogs were guilty of chewing the lottery ticket.
Nathan and Rachael Lamet wrote a note explaining the mischievous behavior of their two Alaskan Klee Kias, “Apple” and “Jack.” Apple is 11 months old, and Jack is two years old.
“For some reason, we left the ticket on the ottoman and they decided it was delicious. I went to bed and when I woke up it was eaten to the point that I thought it was unable to be checked. But my husband thought it was hilarious and someone might get a good laugh at the very least. He said it’s for sure a winner,” Rachel Lamet said.
The staff at the Oregon Lottery had puzzle pieces in front of them. They gathered all the ticket pieces and put them together to reveal the numbers. Nathan was correct as the $3 Pharaoh’s Gold Crossword won them $8.
The Lamets were surprised that the ticket actually fetched them some money. Oregon Lottery informed them about the winning ticket and mailed the check to their address.
“That’s too funny. We are definitely getting more chew toys, they go through a lot. We love them, but they are crazy sometimes,” Rachel said.
The dogs are going to level up with their next lottery snack. When the paw parents knock out at night, their jaws will leave a dent in the million-dollar lottery ticket.
