Elon Musk’s Personal Items for Sale

When an ex-boyfriend goes off to conquer the world, you can sit there depressed about the lost catch or profit off their rise to stardom.

Jennifer Gwynne, Elon Musk’s ex-girlfriend from college who currently resides in South Carolina, felt inspired when she stumbled upon a news story regarding an auction of test papers that Elon Musk graded that sold for more than $7,700.

Gwynne opened up the treasure chest of old memories with her husband. From their early dating years, she had photos of them together, a necklace and a birthday card. These goods are available to the public via the Boston auction house RR Auction.

“If Elon wants to bid, I totally welcome him to do it,” Gwynne said.

The items in Gwynne’s collection are high-ticket possessions with all of the mementos collecting a total of $45,000. Her stepson needs money to support his college studies and her past dating history can now put him through higher education.

Gwynne met Musk when they were both resident advisers at the University of Pennsylvania. They dated from 1994 until 1995 and the relationship headed south when Musk graduated and moved to California. Musk ended the relationship as phone calls felt like a waste of time to him.

Although no woman experiences joy hearing that talking to them feels like a waste of time, Gwynne has no regrets about their breakup. She’s happy with the profitable memories of the business magnate.

A standout memory was when she got into a fender bender in Musk’s car with a friend. Although Musk was driving, Gwynne felt guilty about the crash. He may be the CEO of Tesla now but this lady paid $200 for the car repair.

“I felt bad,” Gwynne explained. “He was in Rhode Island because of me.”

Some people forget those that had their back before their professional success. Not Musk though — he remembers her and he got a glimpse of the auction. In fact, he changed his Twitter picture to one in Gwynne’s collection.

“Based on his Twitter profile today,” Gwynne said, “I think he’s all good with me too.”
