Hungry Raccoon Scrounges High School Cafeteria

A raccoon has the basic instincts to search for its food and survive in the outdoors. The animal doesn’t have the luxury of being fed in a common dining area among crowds of people.

One raccoon decided to take the easy way out and instead of playing scavenger hunt outside for its food, it ran around in a Texas high school cafeteria trying to secure its next food supply. You can imagine that situation didn’t go well among frightened teenagers who scream for their lives.

Grand Prairie News shared a video of the raccoon intruder incident and it’s bound to get your heart beating fast with the speed at which the raccoon darts.

Sam Buchmeyer, Grand Prairie Independent School District spokesman, announced that the raccoon was spotted in the cafeteria at Grand Prairie High School.

Buchmeyer added that staff members were called in to redirect the animal to the outdoors. “They came in and worked with campus staff to corral the little guy, and then they took him off campus and released him,” Buchmeyer said.

Although the teens appear to be panicking out of fear, no one was injured during the raccoon’s afternoon stroll. If the animal is lucky, he might have been able to squeeze a bite before the officials cut his meal.
