Halloween decorations can be super scary that even animals are terrified. A Texas dog went into a state of shock after he saw some black cat decorations in his front yard.
In the TikTok video posted by one of the black lab’s owners, Lilly Flores, Maverick is completely still while standing surrounded by black cat decorations. “He was just like frozen. I mean, it’s like somebody just like froze him in place,” Adam Flores, Lilly’s husband, said.
Despite being decorations, Maverick clearly couldn’t tell the difference. The video captures the moment Maverick saw the cats for the first time, which caused him to stop in his tracks. It left Adam, Lilly and their five-year-old daughter cracking up at the sight.
It was only after a minute of paralysis did Adam manage to break the spell Maverick was under, by calling the dog’s name and moving closer to him. Even then, it didn’t seem like Maverick was too fond of the cat decorations.
Since being posted online, the video has received a whopping 10.5 million views. Several people also found the video entertaining. One person wrote: “It looks like you paused him.”
Another joked: “I think your dog is broken. To do a hard reset, refer to owner’s manual.”
