Bears tend to play by their own rules so it comes as no surprise that one would curl up for the night on the porch of a man’s home.
Chuck Robbins from Heathrow, Florida, was alerted that there was a bear in his neighborhood, which led him to try to find the animal. He went out in an attempt to capture images of the animal but with no luck, Robbins decided to head home.
A few hours later, Robbins was contacted by a neighbor that informed him that there was a “big bear” in his front yard. Looking out the window, Robbins discovered that the bear was actually on his porch, sleeping right in front of his door.
Despite seeing several bears in his lifetime, Robbins claimed that this one was one of the largest he’s ever seen. He estimated that the animal had to have weighed at least 375 pounds.
“It was amazing. I just walked out and it was like right there in front of me and so close,” Robbins said. The man also joked that he hoped the bear was comfortable with where it decided to spend the night.
