Man Locked Out of His Car by Tesla

Electric vehicles have brought forth a change in the automobile industry. Tesla has been leading the charge in the EV space but that doesn’t mean that the company doesn’t have its fair share of problems.

Mario Zelaya has been a Tesla owner since 2013 when he spent $140,000 on a brand new Tesla Model S. Despite being a good investment then, Zelaya now claims he’s been locked out of his Tesla after the battery died. He posted on TikTok explaining the situation.

After taking his car to the dealership, the electric automaker told him the replacement would cost a cool $26,000. Apparently, some 2013 and 2014 models have had issues with fluid from the air conditioning system dripping into the battery.

“You’re probably thinking I’m full of crap, I’m making this stuff up. I’m not,” he said. “I got Transport Canada involved and they actually did an investigation on the car. Not only did they do an investigation on this car, they’re gonna be doing one that Tesla doesn’t realize is coming up.”

In another video, Zelaya claimed to have contacted another Tesla owner, who experienced the same battery issue. He criticized Tesla and said the company will not give them an explanation either.

This isn’t the first time and it certainly won’t be the last that Tesla comes under scrutiny for its electric vehicles.
