Pig Catches a Ride Home in Alaska Police Cruiser

During the winter in Alaska, the cold can be bone-chilling. A lost pig that was seen wandering the streets struck some luck as it received a lift home from police officers.

The Anchorage Police Department posted about the incident on Facebook. Officers said they received a call from a concerned citizen about a pig in Fairview, Alaska, that “looked cold” and was standing on the side of the road.

“We’re all familiar with refrigerated bacon, we just never thought we’d respond to a call for service related to that topic,” the post read.

Luckily, police wrote that the “portly dude was quite friendly” and in the photo posted online, the pet pig can be seen riding in the back of one of the department’s patrol cruisers. Officers were able to identify the owners of the pig, named Elvis Pigsley, and the pet was safely returned home.
