Radio Host Sets World Record for Topping Pancakes

Pancake Tuesday is a time for breakfast lovers to indulge. To celebrate the wonderful day, a British radio host broke a Guinness World Record live on air by topping 10 pancakes with sugar and lemon.

Amanda Holden, co-host of the Heart Breakfast radio show in England, wanted to celebrate the breakfast food by breaking a world record. Holden attempted and broke the record for the fastest time to top 10 pancakes.

Guinness World Records set a goal of 30 seconds and an adjudicator was on hand to witness Holden’s three attempts. The radio host failed on her first two attempts but she was able to come out on top during her third try, topping all 10 pancakes with lemon and sugar in 29.39 seconds.

“I have to say I went back and did some of the pancakes with sugar again so I reckon I could have knocked time off that,” Holden said. The record breaking attempt played out live on air and a video of the event also made its way to social media.
