One of the last things you want to see on a plane is a creepy crawling critter. Passengers on a British Airways flight from Texas to London were greeted with a scorpion that was spotted loose on the plane.
Luke Taylor was on the Austin-London flight when the crew started to conduct a search for a loose scorpion on the plane. Passengers were asked to leave their seats mid-flight so the crew could complete their search in a prompt manner.
“They couldn’t find it and they had to move everyone in that area to empty seats scattered across the plane,” Taylor said.
No one was injured in the incident but it remains unclear as to whether the scorpion was a stowaway or if it had escaped from a container during transit. It was also not made clear as to whether the scorpion was located after landing.
“The safety of our customers is our highest priority and we’re sorry for any concern caused by this highly unusual event,” British Airways said in a statement.
