Snake Boards a Flight to New Jersey

Business class travelers pay high prices for a top-tier experience with quality food and an upgraded seating area. On a flight from Florida to New Jersey, the business class got its money’s worth when an airline ticket delivered a one-of-a-kind experience with a garter snake.

Passengers were flying from Florida to New Jersey when an unexpected encounter took place shortly after landing. A garter snake was found on United Airlines Flight #2038 from Tampa to Newark.

Although harmless and relatively small-medium size, the sight of the slithering snakes was enough to get business-class travelers shrieking in panic. The startled passengers pulled up their feet to avoid contact with the intruder.

United Airlines stated that passengers alerted the crew to the snake and the airline called authorities to take care of the situation. According to a statement by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, police and the airport’s wildlife operations staff removed the reptile from the plane. The snake was later released into the wild.

Nobody exited the cabin with snake bites. Garter snakes are not venomous or aggressive to humans. They only bite in defence when the snakes are “intentionally molested.” The passengers were too frightened to engage in any sexual encounters.
