Animals can get bored of walking around on their own too. A swan got a bit lazy when it decided to take a ride atop a city bus in England.
Reading Buses shared a photo of a swan on Twitter where it can clearly be seen utilizing the public transit system in the city. The swan was riding on one of the operator’s buses in Reading, England.
“Flying is so overrated these days,” Reading Buses wrote online. “And with £2 [$2.41] single fares on all our buses, even swans know that bus is best! Don’t be a silly goose — duck into one of our buses today!”
An update about the swan was also provided in a follow-up tweet. The operator said that the wildlife charity Swan Lifeline was contacted and collected the swan from the area. The bird has now been taken in for a veterinary check-up and observation.
“Thanks to everyone who helped assist with our unexpected passenger today,” Reading Buses said.
