If you’re looking to attempt a robbery for the first time, this example is probably not the best one to follow. After stealing from a luxury goods store, a man thought he was invincible and ended up knocking himself unconscious by running into a glass window.
The incident took place at a Louis Vuitton store in Bellevue, Washington. According to the police, a 17-year-old ripped multiple handbags off of a display that were worth around $18,000 total.
When looking for his getaway, the thief mistook a clean glass window as an open space for him to flee. He ran right into the window and not only knocked himself out but also embarrassed himself. Sometimes you have to kill two birds with one stone.
Authorities said that the thief was part of a retail crime theft ring that has an extensive criminal history. A number of repeat offenders have been arrested in Bellevue for retail robbery and shoplifting. In 2022 so far, 59 people have been charged in connection with organized retail theft.
