Bud Light Makes Mess on Highway

Knocking back a couple of cans of beer sounds like a pretty good Saturday night but it might take a bit longer to clean up hundreds that spilled on a Kentucky highway.

The Louisville Metro Police announced that the truck overturned at around 8:50 a.m. while traveling on the Interstate 71 ramp to the Gene Snyder Freeway. The truck managed to spill its entire load of Bud Light, with the majority of the cans and boxes ending up on the median between the freeway and the ramp.

The Louisville Metro Police posted on Twitter about the crash, calling it “a non-injury incident.” Traffic Response and Incident Management Assisting the River City, otherwise known as TRIMARC, said that the right shoulder of the freeway was blocked during clean-up efforts.

Police also warned commuters to be careful while traveling in the area while clean up crews were working. As of this posting, it’s unclear as to what caused the accident.
