Chicago Man Seeks $75 Million After Dating Life Gets Called Out on Facebook

Dating can be difficult these days, especially when all your baggage is aired out online. A Chicago man is reportedly suing over a post shared on the Facebook group and seeking $75 million in damages by claiming the comments directed at him were false.

The Facebook group, Are We Dating the Same Guy, was put in place in order to “protect” women when they try online dating. Nikko D’Ambrosio criticized the group for allegedly tainting his image with false accusations that stem from different dating experiences.

To stop his name from getting dragged through the mud, D’Ambrosio is reportedly suing more than 50 people and companies for $75 million in damages. He claims that multiple people are accused of ruining his reputation in the local dating scene by their remarks, which caused him emotional distress.

He is now suing “27 named women, a group of unidentified Jane Does, one man, 20 different parts of the Facebook corporation Meta, Patreon, GoFundMe, and the website arewedatingthesame.com.”

D’Ambrosio’s attorneys have reportedly denied he sent any “harassing” texts to women that were later circulated on Facebook. They also added that, even if their client sent the messages, they would be “protected under the First Amendment as free speech.”
