Sometimes you can’t stand the sound of music. A Florida woman was arrested after she decided to dump cooking grease on a man for playing the xylophone.
According to investigators, April Encarnacion was arrested in April 2024 on a domestic battery charge after police responded to a residence in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The call was made after the 43-year-old became upset with the male victim who “was playing a xylophone.”
Encarnacion did not enjoy the evening musical performance and “asked him to stop.” When the man refused, Encarnacion “dumped a pot of cold cooking grease on him.”
The officer who responded to the call noted that the victim had wet spots on his shirt and shorts and that “there was a puddle of liquid on the ground where the victim was sitting near the xylophone.”
During police questioning, Encarnacion reportedly confessed to the attack. She was charged with battery and is currently being kept in jail instead of a $3,000 bond. Encarnacion is next scheduled for a May 2, 2024, court appearance.
