Company Creates the World’s Smallest TV Sets

Tuning in to watch some TV is something that everyone wants to experience. Even the birds and the bees don’t want to be left out, which brings us to TinyCircuits’ TinyTVs.

TinyCircuits is a hardware company that specializes in creating tiny electronic devices. They recently revealed their latest invention, their new and improved television sets, perfect for the tiniest of creatures.

The company has two options when it comes to the TinyTV: the TinyTV 2 and the TinyTV Mini. The TinyTV 2 has a 1.0-inch (26 mm) display and sits atop a 0.6 by 0.4 inch (16 by 9 mm) front-facing speaker, while the tinier TinyTV Mini has an 0.6 inch (15 mm) screen.

Three years ago, Tiny Circuits created the TinyTV DIY Kit, a fun project that allowed customers to create their own small TV set. These new options now offer much more than their retro-looking design.

The TinyTVs actually work about the same as a regular-sized television set. They feature channel and volume-adjusting knobs, a remote control and up to 8Gb of storage. Plus, they allow for PC connectivity through USB-C for uploading and watching videos.

TinyCircuits created a Kickstarter in order to campaign for their new versions of the popular product. They’ve surpassed their $15,000 by raising over $230,000 by the time of this writing. Backers can secure their very own TinyTv 2 or TinyTV Mini for a price of $49 or $59 if they opt for the clear case version. For an additional $10, customers can purchase an optional infrared remote.

Tiny items have been becoming more popular over the last few years with more diorama enthusiasts looking to take their creations to the next level.
