Coors Light Cans Litter Highway

It might be a while before you can buy yourself a case of Coors beer after a huge crash left hundreds of cans of beer on a Florida highway.

The Florida Highway Patrol posted on Twitter about the accident. Two semi-trucks stopped on Interstate 75 in Hernando County around 6 a.m. after one of the vehicles rear-ended the other while attempting to change lanes.

Two other semi-trucks and a pickup truck stopped behind the collision. However, a fifth semi-truck didn’t stop and collided with the pickup truck, propelling it to the outside shoulder where it collided with one of the tractor trailers involved in the first crash. This semi had a load of Coors Light beer onboard, which it ended up spilling all over the roadway.

Crews worked in the southbound lanes to clean up the mess, sweeping the cans and liquid to the side of the roadway. Traffic was backed up for miles before all lanes of traffic were reopened around noon.

No serious injuries were reported from the incident.
