Bears like to play sports too. A bear disrupted a Tennessee high school football team’s practice after it ran out onto the field.
Brad Waggoner, who serves as the head coach for the Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders, posted a video of the incident on X, formerly called Twitter. In the short clip, the bear can be seen galloping across the field as the team was meant to practice.
“Just another day in the Smokey Mountains,” Waggoner wrote in his caption of the video.
Waggoner said the team was coming out of the weight room when the bear ran down from the home stands and onto the field. Luckily, no one was out on the field at the time and after around 10 minutes, the bear left.
“It definitely could play on the defensive line for us,” Waggoner said.
