Miller Lite introduced the product on their website, which is a Christmas tree stand that doubles as a keg. Who doesn’t love functionality during the most stressful time of the year?
The tree stand is essentially a small table used to support the tree that can fit around a quarter-barrel keg beneath it. The design “makes it seem as if beer is being poured from the tree,” Sarah Showak, associate marketing manager at Miller Lite, said.
The Miller Lite Christmas Tree Stand can support a tree that weighs up to 150 pounds or the average weight of a five-foot evergreen tree complete with lights and ornaments. Starting November 10, the stand will be available online for $49.99.
The limited-edition keg is the newest addition to Miller Light’s holiday lineup. The holiday line is meant to target consumers during a season that tends to boost liquor sales over beer sales. Other items in the line include ugly holiday sweaters and beanies, as well as the popular “Beernaments,” a six-pack of round tree ornaments with the Miller Life logo that fit around 12-ounce cans of beer.
