While swimming with the fishes does sound enticing, it’s better to not act on your impulses. A man crashed his car outside a Bass Pro Shop in Alabama and stripped down to jump into the giant aquarium located inside the store.
The incident took place on January 4, 2023, when a 42-year-old man first crashed his car outside a Bass Pro Shop in a town just outside Birmingham, Alabama. According to Leeds Police Chief Paul Irwin, he then did a “cannonball” leap into the aquarium and stood under the waterfall.
Two officers worked together to get him out of the water, but the man simply left the water to yell at the police before jumping back in. The man eventually climbed over the side of the aquarium and fell to the concrete floor below where police apprehended him.
A video of the entire mess was posted on X. The man had been in the water for about five minutes before officers arrived to stop the man. He now faces several charges, including public lewdness, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
