Three-Year-Old Gets Rescued From Inside Claw Machine

Toddlers can certainly have minds of their own. A three-year-old boy decided to climb into a claw machine in Australia and later had to be rescued by police.

The Queensland Police Service posted on Facebook that a three-year-old boy named Ethan had climbed into a claw machine filled with “Hello Kitty” plush toys in Queensland, Australia. The boy had managed to get into the machine through the prize chute and was unable to find his way back out.

A video of the incident showed Ethan’s parents trying to direct him to a back corner of the machine and telling him to cover his eyes so that police officers could break the glass in their rescue attempt. The boy was then lifted out of the machine and returned to his family without any injuries.

An officer made sure that Ethan didn’t walk away empty-handed. “You won a prize, which one do you want?” they said. The Facebook post also gave the final score of the encounter: “Ethan and the Police: 1. Claw Machine: 0.”
