British Supermarket Chain Recalls Stuffing Mix Because It Contained Moths

Stuffing is one of the best parts of a traditional Christmas dinner. Some people opt for stuffing mix, which can be found at most supermarket chains. At Tesco, the company had to recall some of its Christmas stuffing mix because it may have contained moths making it unfit for human consumption.

England’s Food Standards Agency was forced to issue an alert for Tesco Finest Apple & Cranberry Stuffing Mix, saying it was “unfit for human consumption.” The reason behind the alert was that the food product possibly had the presence of moths in it.

The Food Standards Agency noted that moths may have been able to get into the stuffing mix through one of its raw ingredients. Anyone who purchased the mix with a best-before date of September 2024 was warned not to eat it and to throw out the package immediately.

Tesco did apologize for the inconvenience to its customers. The supermarket chain also urged anyone who had purchased the tainted mix to return it to one of its stores for a full refund.
