Sometimes animals can find themselves in tricky situations that they need assistance to get out of. In this instance, a deer had to be rescued by local law enforcement after it got its antlers entangled in a wire fence.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department out of Maryland was flagged down by witnesses on Friendship Road about a deer that was stuck in a fence and couldn’t free itself. Luckily, Sergeant Matt Hall came to the rescue.
The police department ended up sharing body camera footage of Hall’s rescue on their YouTube channel. In the video, Hall can be seen trying to work with the animal to force its antlers through the narrow opening of the wire fence.
Although the deer fought against Hall at first, they eventually worked together to get the animal free. One of the witnesses who first noticed the deer watched the entire incident play out and thanked the officer for his hard work.
