Eagles Fan Creates Chaos at Fire Station

Firefighters had an angry bird on the loose that was flying everywhere, keeping the tough men on their toes with its rambunctious actions.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office had to arrest Edward Dalasandro, a 25-year-old Eagles fan from Philadelphia, for breaking into a fire station and vandalizing the area. Dalasandro damaged the bunk rooms and peed on the carpet. He also stole $126, a uniform hat and a few knives.

According to the officials, when firefighters attempted to stop Dalasandro from causing more ruckus, he threw a meat cleaver at them. The firefighters were able to move quick on their feet and detain him until deputies came to sort out matters.

“This individual made entry through the door in the back of the station,” District Chief Tom Hornbostel said. “This whole situation is very scary and just unexpected.”

“It’s not something we encounter on a day-to-day basis, but it’s something we have to be on alert for,” Hornbostel said.

The angry bird got locked into a cage to face the consequences.

“We learned from his friends that he was kicked out of a bar earlier in the evening for being belligerent and extremely intoxicated,” said Chief Deputy John Budensiek.

“We have no tolerance for it. He was arrested and sitting in our jail on a $120,000 bond. We put as many charges on him as we could on purpose to send a message to anyone else that thinks about messing with our fire rescue personnel or vandalizing our county buildings.”

The sheriff’s office concluded: “The eagle was officially grounded for the second time in one night.”
