There’s no harm in trying to catch up on some sleep but a raccoon did find itself in a tricky situation when it became entangled in a hammock it was trying to snooze in.
Animal control officers from Falmouth Animal Control in Massachusetts were called to rescue a raccoon that became twisted in a resident’s backyard hammock. The resident reported the incident after they noticed that the animal had been stuck in their hammock for around an hour.
Falmouth Animal Control posted about the incident on Facebook. “Upon arrival, our ACO found this guy stuck on a swing. Thankfully, ACO Long was able to help the little guy down and check him out to make sure he was in good physical health,” the post read.
Once officers completed their physical check of the animal, the raccoon was released back into the wild and will hopefully avoid getting stuck in any hammocks in the future.
