Japanese Company Creates Wearable Beanbag Chair

When there aren’t any seats available, perhaps it’s time to purchase a wearable beanbag chair. A Japanese clothing company recently made headlines when it announced its newest creation.

Takikou is the company behind the ingenious idea of creating a wearable beanbag. The weird invention was reportedly inspired by the concept of a “cushion that ruins people,” a popular idea among Japanese designers that essentially offers customers extreme levels of comfort that they don’t ever want to move, which in turn would ruin their lives.

“This concept was born out of the idea of a cushion that would allow you to totally let go, any time, anywhere. You can put this on and chill out in your living room, or loads of other places, that’s why we created it,” Takikou’s Shogo Takikawa said.

The wearable beanbag chair was introduced in Japan a few months ago but it recently gained some steam as more and more people have found out about the product. And customers have been loving it.

The garment is available in three different sizes and various colors, making it a look anyone can try out. Be weary though as the adult version weighs around 11 pounds, which is a bit heavier than just wearing your regular clothes.

Since the demand for wearable beanbags has skyrocketed in popularity, they’re pretty hard to come by. If you can get your hands on one of them, they’re currently priced at $60 for the small, $74 for the medium and $119 for the large version.
