If you’re looking for a steady job, you will definitely need to have some brains to get hired at this pizzeria. An Ohio pizza place ended up going viral online for a hiring sign they had posted outside of their business.
The sign outside of Santino’s Pizzeria reading “Now hiring non-stupid people,” has sparked some serious debate online, with some finding it offensive while others thought it was hilarious. A resident initially posted a picture of the sign in the Grove City Connect Facebook group but it soon caught on elsewhere.
Natasha Fox is a loyal customer of Santino’s Pizzeria and didn’t find anything wrong with the sign. “Oh I laughed, I did laugh at it, but I get it. I get where they’re coming from, but I don’t think it was a bad idea,” Fox said.
After being asked about the sign, the chief pizza pie purveyor and owner Jayden Dunigan said that it was meant to be a joke. “It’s more humor than anything,” Dunigan said. “A lot of people we’ve hired just don’t want to work. There is no work ethic, so that’s the meaning behind the ‘non-stupid.'”
