Olympic Athlete Turns His Legs into Playdough

Lawrence Okoye, a 31-year-old olympic athlete, shocked his TikTok followers when his legs were able to serve as the common kid’s toy — Play-Doh. Okoye was able to apply pressure on his legs by using his thumb to dive into his shin six times and leave a dent punctured into his skin.

It’s a confusing sight that baffles viewers at how this is even possible. Although it’s a funny video, the athlete soon realized that it could have been life-threatening.

“It looks like I’m made out of Play-Doh,” Okoye said. At this point, he had no idea that the makeshift toy could’ve costed him his life.

A few weeks later, he shared an update to his curious followers about the possible cause of his symptoms.

“Basically, it’s this thing called cellulitis,” he explained. “I had a leg injury a few days ago and the wound got infected with bacteria, which causes redness, swelling, and that pitted edema that you saw, which was me basically making craters in my leg.”

If left untreated without prompt medical assistance, it can have serious implications that can be life-threatening.

Fortunately, he cut his play time short and got the help needed to fix his leg. He told his followers: “It’s easily treatable, just a weeks’ worth of antibiotics and some rest and I should be back to normal.”

Okoye added: “A ton of people were trying to tell me I had heart disease or liver disease, kidney disease, cancer and diabetes but obviously that’s not the case.”

His case ends on a positive note with no serious conditions.
