Oreo Announces New Cookie: The Most OREO OREO

In the past, Oreo hasn’t shied away from partnerships, working with Lady Gaga, Pokémon and Ritz to create limited-edition flavors. The cookie brand has now introduced its most recent collab with Martha Stewart called “the Most OREO OREO.”

This latest limited-edition cookie is an Oreo stuffed with Oreos and what could ever go wrong with that? The cookie is made with the usual chocolate wafers, filled with a creme that has Oreo bits mixed in, for a truly meta cookies-n-creme experience.

To go along with the meta theme, the packages come with a QR code that allows buyers to access online games and chances to win prizes in the so-called “Oreoverse” — Oreo’s dip into the metaverse. Those with VR headsets can use them to access the Oreoverse, while others can simply use their phones or computers to connect.

“We love to create new opportunities for our fans to connect with each other,” Oreo’s senior brand manager, Julia Rosenbloom, said. She also noted, “we’re so excited to enter the metaverse!”

The pre-sale for the new flavor is available through the Oreo website and will hit shelves at major retailers nationwide starting on January 30 for a suggested retail price of $4.99.
