Pizza Delivery Driver Held Hostage Over Forgotten Drink

While anger over a missing food item can be a real thing, it’s not enough to hold the delivery driver hostage over it. A Pennsylvania man decided to take matters into his own hands when he held a pizza delivery driver hostage because he didn’t have his drink.

Leo Lamont Toney ordered a pizza from Primo’s Pizza, a little over half a mile from where he lives in Johnstown, Pennslyvania. When the driver began to walk away after delivering the order, Toney asked him where his soda was.

When the delivery driver didn’t give Toney his drink, the man allegedly pulled the driver inside and locked the door. The delivery man did manage to escape by pushing Toney and immediately contacted the Johnstown Police Department about the situation.

Police officers arrived at the apartment promptly to discover that Toney allegedly smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech. After a brief investigation, it remains unknown as to whether the accused actually ordered a beverage or if he just expected one to come with his pizza.

Toney was arrested and now faces one count of false imprisonment.
