Second Loose Kangaroo Spotted in Ontario Captured

It’s not every day you see a kangaroo bouncing around somewhere in Canada. A second kangaroo was spotted on the loose in southwestern Ontario, Canada, and was captured by the Ontario Provincial Police.

Officers of the Ontario Provincial Police West Region posted on X about the loose kangaroo, the second they’ve helped capture in just over a month. The roo was originally spotted on Douglas Line near London, Ontario.

The animal had escaped from the Greenview Park and Zoo, located in the hamlet of Morpeth, Ontario, Canada. Fortunately, the kangaroo was located on January 9, 2023, a few miles away in the Chatham-Kent municipality.

After word spread about the sighting and after police had already caught the animal, an individual reported the kangaroo missing. Police say that the individual who called about the false report could be facing public mischief charges for their hand in the wild goose chase.
