Super Bowl Superfans Reunite for 57th Gathering

Sports fans are some of the most dedicated in the world. A small group of football fans have shown their love for the game after attending every single Super Bowl.

Gregory Eaton, a member of the “Never Miss A Super Bowl Club,” was in attendance at the most recent Super Bowl, which saw the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Philadelphia Eagles, marking his 57th straight Super Bowl. In that time, Eaton has yet to see his Detroit Lions play in the big game.

Three of the original “official” members met by chance when they were standing in line for a Johnny Carson show. The remaining three members all now meet every year at the game.

Later on, the group met a fourth member and those four made an appearance in a 2011 commercial during the Super Bowl for Visa. One of the members did nearly miss the 1972 Super Bowl when he was hospitalized the morning of but luckily, he was able to male the big game.

Eaton’s first ticket was just $12 and as a courtesy for their dedication, the NFL has given the three surviving members a ticket to the Super Bowl for face value each year.
