Weird Pyramid Home Hits the Market

Bizarre properties have become a new norm in the retail space, prompting more and more people to create wacky home designs and list them on the market. A property in Rockwell, North Carolina, hit the market for $675,000 with a unique look that has left people terrified.

A three-bedroom, seven-bath, pyramid-shaped home, aptly dubbed “The Pyramids,” certainly looks similar to the pyramids of Egypt but will cost you a bit more than a trip to the country itself. The house was designed in 1987 by architect James Kluttz and the property is split into two separate ‘pyramids’ with red and blue roofs.

Triangle homes can be quite difficult to live in, especially if you’re claustrophobic. Most of the rooms only fit a single bed in the small space below the slanted roof. Also, the corridors can be a tight squeeze allowing no sunlight to break through. Several skylights offer some sunlight to peak through in other rooms.

Fortunately, the house does feature two more liveable areas connected by a breezeway with a sunroom, screened porch and covered deck, as well as an open floor plan with a kitchen, dining and living room with a wood-burning fireplace and oven.

On top of the unique design, the 3,687 square feet property also comes with 18 acres of luscious green space that is home to banana, apple and fig trees. A huge garage provides more space for additional storage if needed.

Despite being an interesting space, many people are concerned by the shape of the home. Images of the home circulated online, with users sharing what they really felt about the home.

One user wrote: “What in the Netflix cult documentary is going on here.”

Another commented: “This house gives off the creepiest vibes both inside and out!”
