Winning the lottery very rarely happens to most people let alone winning a jackpot twice. Lightning struck twice when one woman landed herself a $2 million prize just two months after winning $1 million from another game.
Kenya Sloan from Shelby, North Carolina, purchased a $20 Diamond Dazzler ticket from an Esha Food Mart for the first time. The 41-year-old ended up scratching off a $2 million prize just two months after another huge win.
“I was just standing there in shock,” Sloan said. “I just feel blessed. That’s all I can say.”
Two months earlier, Sloan had won a $1 million prize from a Carolina Jackpot scratch-off ticket. She told North Carolina Education Lottery officials that she’s completely shocked by the luck she’s had over the last few months.
“I told some of my family members and they couldn’t believe it either,” Sloan said.
The winner confirmed that her first jackpot is currently being used to build a home and her latest winnings will go toward her dream of opening a restaurant.
