Escaped Horse Trots Down Train Station Platform

This is certainly one thing you don’t see at the train station every day. An escaped racehorse made its way to a train station in Australia where it trotted up and down the platform before trying to board a train.

Transport for New South Wales posted a number of security camera photos to Facebook, which showed the horse, donning a beige raincoat, wandering up and down the platform at the Warwick Farm Station in Sydney, Australia.

Transport for NSW said the fare-dodging animal was seen making its way up and down the platform before watching a train pull into the station and standing in front of it as if it was preparing to board. When the doors remained closed, the horse returned to pacing.

At one point, the equine became frustrated and chased after a passenger on the platform. Fortunately, they walked away without injury.

As for the horse, police were called to the station and the horse’s owner soon arrived to take the animal back home. Transport for NSW reported that the horse was “returned to his residence in a stable condition. No one involved in the incident is intending to take any further action as the individual was only horsing around.”
