While water hoses are a great outdoor accessory to have, is it worth going to jail over stealing one? A man was caught on camera stealing someone’s water hose in their backyard in broad daylight.
Ring camera footage was able to capture the thief stealing the water hose of a Cape Coral, Florida, resident in the middle of the day. Out of everything he could’ve taken, the man opted for a simple water hose.
Chris Voggs, a resident who lives in the neighborhood, said: “If you’re going to steal something, steal something that’s worth something.” There have definitely been smarter thieves in the past as stealing a $20 water hose is not worth it to be put in jail. Lucky enough for this thief, he has yet to be caught so far.
This mischievous act came as a shock to other residents in the area as the neighborhood tends to be rather quiet. The neighborhood is now relying on police in the hopes that they can use the video to catch the man and stop him from pulling off any more robberies.
