A man decided he was going to follow this exact advice and took a day off from work to binge-watch his favourite web series all day.
Abhishek Kumar went viral on social media sharing the exact email he sent to his boss, requesting a one-day leave from work so he could binge-watch his favourite show called Pitchers.
“Normalize leave. It is not necessary that you take leave only when you are sick or for some work that cannot be done without you,” the post read.
In the email that he sent to his boss, Kumar clearly stated that binge-watching the show late at night would “disrupt” his sleep cycle but he also could not wait “until the weekend to watch it.”
Most were relatively supportive of the idea, with one user saying: “Normalize not giving reason while asking for leave.”
Another wrote: “This is so cool. Would love to see the response.”
