Every human and their pets have different personalities that go along with them. In a unique twist, police in Oregon discovered that a hand grenade turned out to be a dispenser for dog poop bags.
The McMinnville Police Department wrote on Facebook that the “item of concern” was initially spotted near the running track at Patton Middle School in McMinnville, Oregon. It was located away from school buildings but it still drew enough concern from members of staff to call the police.
Students were kept inside the school while police discussed the best plan of action with the Oregon State Police Bomb Squad personnel. The department ended up using a drone to get close-up photos of the apparent hand grenade while keeping a safe distance from the suspected explosive.
“After reviewing the photographs, the item was determined to be a dog waste bag dispenser that is manufactured to resemble a hand grenade,” the post said.
According to the department, the item was disposed of and regular school activities resumed.
