Woman Finds Stranger Parked in Driveway

Sometimes the problem drives straight up to your house. A frustrated woman voiced her concerns online when she was dealing with a parking dilemma as her driveway was turned into a public parking lot. A random stranger parked their car in that spot and she realized after her return from the short 10-minutes trip.

She wrote: “I’ve just popped out for ten minutes, I came home and there’s a car parked on my drive! I live in a busy walking area but there’s tons of street parking available so no idea why they’ve used my drive rather than using that.”

She wasn’t willing to passively observe the situation and let it go. The homeowner took her revenge by blocking in the car so they wouldn’t be able to exit until she got a glimpse of the culprit. In her vengeful act, she unintentionally pissed off the neighbors when they couldn’t get onto their driveway.

She added: “Good news is I’ve parked them in. The bad news is that none of my neighbours (two houses) can get their cars on the drive now and I’m guessing it’s one of their friends.”

The woman got very detailed and included a diagram to illustrate her point: “I’m house one and the X is the random car parked on my drive. Neighbours are two and three — and have their own drives/parking spaces (both empty), My car is the *, so it’s blocking everyone at the moment!”

She might have gotten her revenge on the unauthorized parking culprit but now she has bad blood with her neighbors.

A user replied to her dilemma: “Probably not neighbours friends if the neighbours aren’t in. Likely a cheeky walker. You know the law op, start drinking.”

Another commentator wrote: “Have you tried knocking on your neighbours’ doors to find out if it’s one of their friends?”

A different user added: “We need to know. If it’s a top end Ferrari, then… perfectly fine to park on your drive. If it’s a Honda Jazz, it shouldn’t be parking anywhere.”
