Everyone and everything should be able to have the chance to watch a solar eclipse. An Arkansas man went viral after he provided his chicken with a tiny pair of protective glasses so she could view the solar eclipse.
Tad Fendley watched the eclipse on April 8, 2024, from Amity, Arkansas with his pet chicken, Gertrude. In a photo shared on Facebook by Fendley’s sister, Carolyn Fendley Shell, Gertrude can be seen with her own pair of eclipse protection glasses.
Fendley Shell snapped the photo of the scene and posted it online, going viral for the adorably cute photo. Fendley said that Gertrude was so excited by her first solar eclipse that she laid an egg during the event.
The brother and sister said they attempted to make eclipse glasses for their cows so they too could also enjoy the rare phenomenon but the animals weren’t interested in donning eyewear.
