Safety rules are standard practices that should be respected to avoid killing yourself and throwing other people’s lives into jeopardy. Obey the safety protocols on rides and everyone should reach the finish line with all of their limbs intact.
Replicating influencer trends can be dangerous for all of the riders. People can hurt themselves and pose a threat to the other riders. At “Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!,” guests are disregarding the safety measures to hop on the latest TikTok trend.
In viral TikTok videos, people were seen not securely fastening the seatbelts on the Guardians drop tower ride in order to gain air-time. The guests were putting themselves in danger to build a stronger social media presence.
After the reckless behavior, Disneyland ramped up the signs to encourage guests to follow safety precautions or risk being kicked out of the park.
The signs placed in the line-ups read: “KEEP SEAT BELT SECURELY FASTENED AND TIGHT AROUND THE WAIST. FAILURE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN BEING ASKED TO LEAVE THE PARK.”
Staff are keeping a close eye to ensure that all guests are wearing seatbelts properly. If anyone isn’t following the procedure, the ride will be paused and security will be called in to deal with the matter.
Disneyland cares about the safety of the guests since the happy place doesn’t want their smiles turned upside down in the courtroom with lawsuits. When it comes to the company’s list of priorities, the guest’s social media statistics aren’t one of them.
Hopefully, guests can share the same responsibility. Riders are strongly urged to value their safety more than the desire to impress strangers.
