While it’s normal for people in India to receive a caste certificate, it’s not very natural for dogs to do so. A pup in the country stunned authorities when they noticed they had gotten a caste certificate request for a canine.
The Bihar government started its caste-based survey for the state on January 7, 2023, and wrapped it up by January 21. During this time, the authorities got many requests for applications for a caste certificate from the state, which is essentially proof of one’s belonging to a particular social position.
Officials said that a dog named Tommy had submitted an application. The jokers behind the prank attached a fake Aadhar identification to the application, showing Tommy smiling away on the ID card, along with his name and date of birth.
Gaya’s Guraru Zonal office also confirmed that the application was filled out without any errors. His parents were even mentioned in the document and the dog was listed as a “student.” The application was obviously scrapped, which prompted the local police to open an investigation to discover the people behind it.
