McDonald’s McCrispy Ad Positioned Next to Crematorium

Witnessing a dead body in a crematorium can be a traumatic experience that can result in a loss of appetite. An odd McDonald’s advertisement for the McCrispy burger that was installed next to the crematorium in Cornwall has been substituted for something more appropriate.

Beside a sign for Penmount Crematorium, in Truro, the previous McCrispy burger image is now replaced with the new sign, which reads “Get your Locals’ pass.”

McDonald’s tried to save its reputation by removing the sign from that location. A McDonald’s spokesperson said: “We were unaware of the road sign in the vicinity of this bus stop. However, in light of the concerns raised by CornwallLive, we have asked for our advertisement to be removed.”

Some motorists who spotted it on the busy A39 got a good laugh, while the locals believe that the new sign is “just as bad.”

A change is not always well-received as one person said of the replacement advert “you couldn’t make this up.” Another added: “I don’t know what’s worse, this one or the first one.”

People claimed that the poster “clearly has a sense of humor” while another said it’s “not much better” than the McDonald’s poster.

The sign adjustment is probably the best course of action in this scenario. After all, not many people cremate their loved ones and walk away with a desire for a chicken burger.
