The crowd was in for a treat at Diesel’s Milan Fashion Week show with an astonishing display featuring a huge mountain of condoms. The Italian brand launched its Fall-Winter 2023 collection against a backdrop of over 200,000 Durex boxes. The condom display revolved around the themes of sex positivity and hinted at a future partnership with Durex.
“We like to play at Diesel, and we are serious about it,” creative director Glenn Martens said. “Have fun, respect each other, be safe.” This bold display is meant to get people thinking about their freedom, pleasure and experimentation.
Models held their heads high as they walked around the condom display in low-rise jeans and denim garments with ripped silk dresses accessorized with chains.
The music soundtrack featured some erotic moaning that is meant to get a reaction as they push the limits of what’s usually deemed acceptable.
The condom mountain promotes both the label’s new collection and encourages safe sex. People received invitations with Durex packs to stay true to the theme.
Diesel will be distributing 300,000 more condoms across its stores worldwide. There’s really no excuse not to take a condom when it’s handed out in abundance.
